FOSTER

FAQ's

  • What do you all look for in a foster?

You must be 18+ to apply, but we evaluate each application on a case by case basis. We are drawn to flexible, patient, and cooperative people who love dogs!

  • Do you all deny applications ever?

Yes! Fostering involves a lot of time, dedication, and of course all those characteristics we look for (answered in previous FAQ). Not everyone is ready or prepared to foster.

  • How long does fostering usually last?

Usually 2-4 weeks, however depending on when your foster pup gets adopted and your schedule, our longest foster was for 4 months.

  • Can I meet the dog/puppy first before applying?

No! Not unless this is part of a foster transfer with an existing TDNR pup. Through our application, you list what you are willing to foster. We promise to pair everyone accordingly!

  • What is provided when you foster?

Food, pee pads, crates or play pens, towels, and all medical care plus necessities are paid for by TDNR Corp. The only things our fosters are not always provided are treats, clothes, or beds. We will supply our fosters with these "extras" if they have been donated recently.

  • When will I hear back about my application?

We respond to people on a case by case basis. It can be awhile depending on when we are intaking and what ages you marked as willing to foster. If you want to make sure we received your application, contact us!

  • Where are most of your fosters located?

Athens and Atlanta! Fosters can be located almost anywhere in GA depending on urgency.
